Where are the funds donated?
Most funds are donated to the MS Society of Canada, but occasionally I promote another charity for a week as events happen in the world. --- In 2018, I was diagnosed with MS. It started with my feet feeling tingly and strange, and within a matter of days my entire lower body went numb– prompting multiple hospital visits, countless tests, and an eventual MS diagnosis. Having multiple sclerosis means that one morning you may not be able to walk when you wake up. Or that you may suddenly have impaired vision. Or that your memory will fail you for no apparent reason. Or, for me, the terrifying thought of losing the function of my hands and my ability to create and teach my calligraphy. The symptoms of MS are many and vary for everyone. Since my diagnosis, I've been donating a portion of all my calligraphy workbook sales to the MS Society of Canada. With the help of all of you who have purchased or made direct donations, we've been able to raise over $44,000 so far 🤯 (as of January 2021). And honestly, every time I say that, it makes me wanna cry ❤️❤️❤️ So thanks for being here, reading my story, supporting my business, and in turn helping support research that will ultimately enable me to keep doing this as long as possible! ✍🏻✍🏻✍🏻
